Thermco's RMA Process

One item per RMA request
Please complete a separate RMA request for each item being returned to Thermco.

Evaluation fee
Customer should note that Thermco will charge an evaluation fee on all non-warranty RMAs. This evaluation fee is waived if the quoted service is completed. Call Thermco at 219.362.6258 to request a current fee schedule.

Instructions
Fill out the form. After you click "Submit," an email will be sent to you and Thermco with a pdf generated from the information you provide below. The same pdf will appear in your browser. Place a copy of the RMA request (pdf) in your returning package. Furthermore, the lower-third of the pdf will create a shipping label. Print out a second copy (the same pdf), fold it into thirds, and use it as a shipping label. Prepare product or part for shipment.

Recommended packaging for return shipment to Thermco

For Gas Analyzers & Pressure Alarm Systems

Gas analyzers and pressure alarm systems are sensitive devices and should be well protected against shipping damage. The device should be first wrapped in a plastic bag and then sealed to keep out dust, dirt, moisture, and other contamination sources. Next, the product should be wrapped in several layers of bubble wrap, 4+ inches thick covering all sides, the top and the bottom of the device. The wrapped device should then be over-packed in a cardboard box of sufficient strength. The analyzer should be secured and snug fitting in the box. The box should be closed and sealed. The RMA shipping label should be placed on the top side of the package. Multiple “FRAGILE” stickers should be placed on the exterior of the package to alert transporters of fragile status.

Note 1: Do not use foam type packaging materials as most do not sufficiently protect against vibration damage.

Note 2: Do not return any loose items with the analyzer.

Note 3: Do not return devices that have been contaminated with unknown substances or known hazardous, harmful, and/or toxic materials.

For Mini Gas Mixing Systems, less than 900 SCFH

Mini-Gas Mixing Systems should be well protected against shipping damage. Mini-Gas Mixers should be wrapped in several layers of bubble wrap, 3+ inches thick covering all sides, the top and the bottom of the mixer.The wrapped mixer should then be over-packed in a cardboard box of sufficient strength. The box should be closed and sealed. The RMA shipping label should be placed on the top side of the package.

Note 1: Foam type packaging materials sent with the original package as shown above can be used in place of bubble wrap.

Note 2: Do not return any loose items with the gas mixer.

Note 3: Do not return gas mixers that have been contaminated with unknown substances or known hazardous, harmful, and/or toxic materials.

For Large Gas Mixing Systems, greater than 900 SCFH

Large Gas Mixing Systems should be protected against shipping damage. Large Gas Mixers should be bolted down to a strong skid. The skid should be of sufficient size to extend beyond the perimeter of the mixer dimensions, to create a buffer zone of protection. The mixer should be wrapped in plastic covering all sides and the top of the mixer. The RMA shipping label should be placed and secured on the front side of the mixer.

Note 1: Use of vibration dampening mounts supplied with the original mixer shipment or the equivalent is best.

Note 2: Do not return any loose items with the gas mixer.

Note 3: Do not return gas mixers that have been contaminated with unknown substances or known hazardous, harmful, and/or toxic materials.
