Description
Thermco Instrument Corporation is seeking a mechanical assembler, shipping & receiving specialist to join our team at Thermco’s headquarters and manufacturing plant located in La Porte, Indiana.
General Requirements
Assemble and stage mixer preps, receive incoming materials, verify and inspect materials for quality & dimension, locate acceptable materials to stock and process defective materials via report, crate and box finished products and parts for shipment via UPS and freight haulers. The ability to use hand tools for assembly of mechanical components, read and understand basic diagrams and instructions, operate a forklift safely and efficiently, and to load and unload commercial freight haulers.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or the equivalent
Must be able to read and follow basic diagrams and instructions
Must be able to perform work in an organized manner with attention to details
Must have basic skills, good sense and sound judgment in practical matters, and be able to demonstrate an ability to learn on the job
Must be able to demonstrate a cooperative spirit in completing work assignments
Must have prior forklift experience, with a good driving record
